Rules & Regulations for Music, Dance & Allied Performing Arts Gradation
Welcome to the official Gradation & Accreditation Wing of the AUSS International Gradation Board.
The Board has been established with the vision of recognizing artistic excellence, dedication, discipline, and meaningful contribution in the fields of Indian Classical Music, Dance, Folk Traditions, Devotional Arts, Yoga Arts, Instrumental Music, Theatre, and other allied performing art forms.
Our gradation framework is designed to encourage deserving artists across all age groups while upholding artistic standards, cultural authenticity, and professional evaluation practices.
B Grade Artist
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Age: 18 Years
Minimum Experience: 5 Years in the respective field
Evaluation Focus
• Foundational professional performance ability
• Stage confidence and presentation skills
• Fundamental technical understanding
• Commitment and dedication to the art form
B High Grade Artist
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Age: 20 Years
Minimum Experience: 7 Years in the respective field
Evaluation Focus
• Advanced technical proficiency
• Consistent stage performance experience
• Artistic maturity and discipline
• Repertoire development and presentation
A Grade Artist
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Age: 25 Years
Minimum Experience: 10+ Years in the respective field
Evaluation Focus
• High-level artistic excellence
• Recognized performance background
• Professional teaching and concert experience
• Contribution towards preservation and promotion of culture
A Top Grade Artist
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Age: 30 Years
Minimum Experience: 15 Years in the respective field
Evaluation Focus
• Exceptional mastery and artistic distinction
• National and/or international recognition
• Outstanding contribution to the artistic community
• Excellence in performance, teaching, choreography, research, or creative achievements
Objectives of the Gradation Board
The AUSS International Gradation Board aims to:
- Recognize and honor genuine artistic excellence
- Encourage emerging, professional, and senior artists
- Provide a structured and credible artistic accreditation system
- Support Indian and global performing art traditions
- Create opportunities for performers, teachers, researchers, and cultural ambassadors
- Promote merit-based recognition through fair and transparent evaluation

- Devotional Music

- Yoga Arts
- Spiritual & Cultural Arts
- Other approved traditional and contemporary art forms
Exceptional Talent & Special Direct Gradation Policy
The AUSS International Gradation Board believes that extraordinary talent may emerge at any age.
In exceptional cases, child prodigies or uniquely gifted performers demonstrating extraordinary artistic mastery may be considered for direct higher gradation, including A Grade or A Top Grade recognition, subject to:
Special jury evaluation
Live performance assessment
Documentary evidence of achievements
Recommendation by eminent gurus, scholars, or recognized experts
Approval of the Academic & Cultural Evaluation Committee
This provision is introduced to encourage and honor rare artistic brilliance and should not be considered a standard or automatic pathway.
General Rules & Regulations
Courses include:
- All applications are subject to scrutiny, review, and verification.
- The Gradation Board reserves the right to approve, defer, upgrade, or reject applications based on evaluation standards.
- Submission of false information or misleading documents may result in cancellation of gradation.
- Applicants may be required to attend live, virtual, or recorded evaluations/auditions.
- The decision of the Academic Jury and Evaluation Committee shall be final and binding.
- Gradation certificates are issued for academic, cultural, and professional recognition purposes.
- AUSS reserves the right to revise or amend grading policies whenever necessary.

- Proof of Age
- Artistic Resume / Biodata
- Performance Photographs
- Video Links or Recorded Performances
- Certificates and Awards
- Recommendation Letters (if applicable)
- Teaching and/or Performance Experience Details
